| Unit Description |
Islam in Indonesia and Malaysia has developed in a religious environment significantly different from that of the Middle Eastern states. Malaysia and Indonesia demonstrate different attitudes towards organising society despite the central importance of Islam in both states. This unit compares these societies, the character of their diversities, and the place of Islam. |
