| Unit Description |
This unit studies the history of the family as a social institution in Australian society. Students will examine the structure of households and the formation of families, and particular emphasis will be placed on the changing roles within the family, and changing ideologies of the family, during the 19th and 20th century. Students will have the opportunity to do a practical assignment on the history of their ancestors' family. |
