Unit Description

In this unit students establish a foundation for subsequent human health science units by obtaining basic knowledge and understanding of cells, tissues, body fluids and organ systems, and underlying chemical and physical principles; applying this knowledge and understanding to the structures and functions of the integumentary and musculoskeletal systems, and beginning to develop practical and problem-solving skills. The unit is taught internally and includes lectures, tutorials and a two-hour practical session for an average six hours class contract time per week.
