| Unit Description |
In this unit students apply the foundation knowledge and understanding developed in HHSC 101 to study the maintenance of the human body by the digestive, respiratory and urinary systems; the composition and functions of blood; and the basic processes of metabolism. The relationships between structure and function, and maintenance of homeostasis are emphasised, as is further development of practical and problem-solving skills. This external unit is assessed by assignments and examination. |
