Unit Description

This unit provides an introduction to the international legal environment which is fundamental to international commercial transactions. The topics dealt with in this unit include: international transactions; dispute resolution; international contracts; the financing of international trade; marine and credit insurance; international payments; legal aspects of patent and copyrights in the international context; partnerships; overseas joint venture and other business structures; and countertrade. Particular emphasis is given to the Australian situation.
