Unit Description

Planet Earth is undergoing far-reaching ecological changes which will continue to have profound impacts upon human activities. The complex causes and progress of such changes as they affect land and water resources, forests, biodiversity, the atmosphere and cities are considered. Human responses to environmental changes, and ways in which rural sustainability might be achieved, are explored.
