Unit Description

This unit explores all aspects of the sciences in a broad and integrated way. It will consolidate and expand students' understanding of the sciences, social sciences, health and mathematics and information technology with reference to relevant state authorities' policy and curriculum documents. The ways children learn most effectively in these areas will be explored through curriculum planning in the light of current thinking and contemporary research. Philosophical and practical issues surrounding socially just and sustainable ways of living are a focus. Students will research relevant issues and complete action research.
