| Unit Description |
This unit addresses the diversity of linguistic demands on young children in contemporary Australia. Within a framework of multiliteracies, students will consider the ways children use spoken and written language in diverse contexts. Students will also explore ways of extending children's language capacities, for example, informal talk, using computers and learning a second language. With reference to relevant State authorities' policy and curriculum documents, students will implement teaching strategies to foster multiliteracies. |
