Unit Description

This unit consolidates knowledge of play and the environment as learning tools within early childhood education. There is a theoretical basis with an emphasis on confronting assumptions while planning and implementing educational experiences. Children's and adults' collaborative and individual roles within a play environment will be explored. The environment is critiqued in relation to its impact on children's learning.
