Unit Description

This unit examines production systems for sheep, beef and dairy cattle, pigs, poultry and emerging animal industries covering elementary aspects of reproduction, lactation, growth and development. As well the unit will examine in some detail the nature and assessment of animal products and their quality, including factors influencing carcass composition and meat quality and wool growth and quality.
