1. Admission to Candidature
A candidate shall:
(a) hold a degree of a university; or
(b) hold a three-year diploma from a university or a college of advanced education; or
(c) hold a graduate diploma relevant to the award; or
(d) satisfy the faculty by means of other qualifications and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.

2. Course Requirements
2.1. To qualify for the award, a candidate shall pass 48 credit points as specified in Rules 2.2. and 5.
2.2. The course shall comprise:
(a) the units in Group 1;
(b) the unit in Group 2A;
(c) not more than 30cp from Group 2B.

3. Period of Candidature
The maximum period of candidature shall be:
(a) one year as a full-time candidate;
(b) three years as a part-time candidate.

4. Progress of Candidature
Refer to the University General Rule on Academic Progress.

5. Units Offered
All units listed below for this award have a value of six credit points except where indicated after a colon.
Group 1
EHPS 590; PDLD 470, 471; or any other unit approved by the school.

Group 2
EDUC 591/HS 591/PDAL 591; PDAS 401, 415, 591; PDAL 496:6 or 12; PDLD 473, 503, 508; or any other unit approved by the school.
