Why study the Master of Rural Science at UNE?

The Master of Rural Science is an advanced research degree taken by thesis only. This course is suited to candidates wishing to pursue a particular research topic related to the rural science and agriculture with the objective of entering a research based rather than a management based career.

Career Opportunities

Graduates are also qualified for employment in research organisations such as CSIRO, universities, departments of primary industries, and with agricultural planning consultants.

Entry Requirements

The normal requirement for admission to the degree is a four-year degree from a recognised tertiary institution. Applicants with a three-year degree plus substantial research experience may also be considered. Applicants who do not meet these admission requirements will be required to complete the Graduate Diploma in Rural Science.
