| Overview | The Master of Resource Science is an advanced research degree taken by thesis only. This course is suited to candidates wishing to pursue a particular research topic related to the management of natural resources with the objective of entering a research based rather than a management based career. |
| Entry Requirements | The normal requirement for admission to the degree is a four-year degree from a recognised tertiary institution. Applicants with a three-year degree plus substantial research experience may also be considered. Applicants who do not meet these admission requirements will be required to complete the Graduate Diploma in Natural Resources. |
| Career Opportunities | Graduates are well qualified for employment in research organisations such as CSIRO, universities, environmental protection agencies, and with environmental planning consultants. |
| Other Benefits | Graduates of the Master of Resource Science are eligible to apply for admission to PhD candidature. |
