Year:

Master of Educational Administration with Honours

Why study the Master of Educational Administration with Honours at UNE?

This postgraduate program is recognised as Australia's premier qualifications for educational leaders in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. This research course aims to: provide middle and senior educational leaders with an opportunity to develop their research skills, competencies and understanding of research data. Senior educational leaders need to interpret data, initiate research and critically evaluate a wide source of information for its relevance, validity and reliability in order to make objective judgements. In addition, they need to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of educational leadership together with the management skills to lead effectively. The course provides an opportunity for current and aspiring educational leaders to achieve a higher, professionally-oriented degree; enhance a better understanding of organisational and administrative theories; encourage professional reflection upon current practice and future needs; and promote greater appreciation of research. This information forms the foundation for the design, implementation and reporting of a major research undertaking which is submitted as a thesis.
