The Master of Arts is designed to enable graduates to pursue further studies in an area of personal interest by studying a number of graduate level course-work units. Students are able to tailor a program of study to suit their interests by enrolling in units from the same subject or a number of units in different subjects or areas of study listed for the course.

1. Admission to Candidature
1.1. Admission to candidature shall be determined by the course coordinator.
1.2. An applicant for admission to candidature shall have fulfilled all requirements for a degree of Bachelor of the University or shall have fulfilled the requirements for a degree or qualification of equivalent standing at another University or institution recognised by the course coordinator for this purpose.
2. Course Requirements
2.1. To qualify for the award of Master of Arts a candidate shall pass units to the value of 48 credit points at 400 level approved by the course coordinator.
2.2. Candidates must include units to the value of at least 24 credit points in the same subject or approved course of study. With the approval of the relevant head of school, WORK 500 may substitute for one of the 400 level units of a subject.
2.3. Candidates may include units to the value of not more than 12 credit points selected from individual reading unit/dissertation units within their program.
