The Bachelor of Archaeology with Honours offers a broad training in archaeology and palaeoanthropology suitable for students intending to pursue a career in these disciplines. The degree provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical fieldwork experience. The degree programme focuses on the systematic study of the entire human past, via the excavation, analysis and interpretation of the artefactual, human, and associated material remains. Includes instruction in archaeological theory, field methods, dating methods, the ethical and professional context of archaeology, cultural and physical evolution, and the study of specific selected past cultures. |

Suspensions and Extensions to CandidatureThe faculty may grant an extension or suspension of candidature, or a combination of both, to full-time candidates for up to six months or to part-time candidates for up to 12 months as follows:
