| Unit Description |
Candidates from this or other universities seeking admission to the honours year BSc(Hons) should seek detailed advice and application forms from the Faculty of The Sciences no later than the third Monday in November of the year in which they expect to complete the requirements for the pass degree of BSc (or an equivalent qualification). Enrolment is restricted to candidates who have completed at a high standard at least four third-year units in either zoology or ecology, or other work considered equivalent by the discipline of Zoology. The honours program consists of the following components: (i) a research project and an associated thesis; (ii) presentation of two seminars; (iii) essays; and (iv) participation in a workshop on research techniques. A semester unit of course work may be substituted for part of the program. The research project and the presentation of the two seminars are mandatory. |
