| Unit Description |
Students learn how the soil functions as a chemical, biological and physical system which interacts with the landscape and other parts of the ecosystem, and learn practical soil assessment techniques. Topics include: soils and the landscape, soil chemistry and biology, and soil physics. There is an online component. Assessment is by an examination, a mid-semester test (internals) or major report (externals), and several small assessments. |
