This is interdisciplinary unit examines selected aspects of Japanese society and culture including stereotypical images of society, perspectives employed in the analysis of Japanese society, the family, women, education, politics, minority groups, foreign affairs, and cultural values and customs. The focus is on contemporary Japanese society. |
