| Unit Description |
This unit is designed to introduce students to the nature and dynamics of managing development programs in Asia. The broad areas to be covered include: theories of development and underdevelopment; the role of the state in development; institutions and processes in development; aid administration; and specific issues in development. The focus will be on South and Southeast Asian nations. |
