| Unit Description |
This unit is a study of the major political institutions in Australia, and their operation in the Australian political context. Topics examined include federalism, parliament, the Constitution, parties and pressure groups. Consideration will also be given to the relations between these various institutions, and the significance of less tangible factors such as political power, the nature of democracy and the role of the media. |
