| Unit Description |
Three lectures and a one-hour practical class per week. An elementary approach to the following topics: functions and their graphs; inequalities; vectors and matrices; differential calculus; optimisation and linear programming; multivariable differential calculus; and basic integration. Connections with economics and finance will be stressed throughout the unit. Excel will be used to solve some of the problems involved. |
