Unit Description

This unit aims to provide students with a working knowledge of specific legal issues that affect Indigenous Australians. The unit will firstly adopt a national perspective towards Indigenous issues, covering topics such as Indigenous law, citizenship, land rights, native title and criminal justice. Other aspects of the unit include analysis of Indigenous identity, autonomy and sovereignty.
