Private International Law (or Conflict of Laws) is concerned with disputes which arise when a foreign interstate legal element is involved in a particular commercial transaction or dispute. Topics covered include issues of jurisdiction, choice of law, limits to the application of foreign law, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements, with particular reference to the Australian Federal system. |
