| Unit Description |
The law continues to try and keep up with rapid developments in medicine. This unit will look at contemporary and controversial health issues such as the rights of patients in the health care system; the obligation of confidentiality; the notion of consent; and legal approaches to issues such as abortion, euthanasia and 'dying with dignity'. The unit will also look at more traditional legal issues such as medical negligence and the statutory regulation of the medical and paramedical professions. |
