| Unit Description |
This unit is about the cognitive aspects of pronunciation. It looks at the sound systems and writing systems of a wide range of languages, exploring the way learning to speak and write influence people's perception and representation of speech. It has a strong emphasis on learning through experience and critical reflection. The main focus is on applying knowledge of phonology in practical tasks such as teaching language and literacy.
