| Unit Description |
This unit builds on the morphology and syntax done in LING 101 and 102. It covers classic structuralist techniques of describing languages; introduces some theoretical and conceptual issues that arise in language description; and provides a typological perspective on the main morphological and syntactic phenomena found amongst the world's languages. This unit is supported by a variety of innovative online tools (study guide, glossary, bulletin board, chat, etc) and has online assessment. Web access is required. |
