| Unit Description |
This unit provides students with an introduction to contemporary Japanese language. It develops basic aural, oral, reading and writing skills. Attention is given to the socio-cultural context of the language, and to functional fluency. Students should aim to learn Hiragana, katakana and approximately 75 kanji. |
