| Unit Description |
Available only to GradDipIslamicStudies candidates who intend to proceed to MA and PhD research in Islamic Studies. This unit is designed to allow candidates to pursue in more depth research which arises from their work in the diploma. Candidates must have gained at least a Credit in both ISLM 461 and 462. The project will be supervised by the Coordinator of GradDipIslamicStudies; the proposal must be approved by the coordinator. Early in the semester the candidate will complete a short written outline of the project and a separate exercise identifying bibliographic sources. Neither exercise will be assessed formally. Assessment is by a 12 000 word dissertation. |
