| Unit Description |
Consideration of resource concepts and a review of appropriate resource appraisal techniques is followed by specific planning and management issues in rural Australia. Environmental and socio-economic aspects of agriculture, forestry, mining and water resource management are studied as well as the conservation of rural Australia's natural heritage. The coastal zone provides a focus for this online unit. It exemplifies the need for an understanding of physical processes followed by integrated planning strategies. |
