| Unit Description |
Illustrated with case studies from Asia, this unit promotes understanding of realities of life in developing nations. Emphasising change over time, causes of poverty, factors affecting development and theoretical understandings about development are examined. Other issues considered include population growth, food security, environmental sustainability, development assistance, feminisation of poverty, and culture and development. |
