| Unit Description |
Students considering entry into honours in Ecology should consult the Unit Coordinator. Honours in Ecology may be supervised by relevant academic staff in Agronomy and Soil Science, Botany, Ecosystem Management and Zoology. Honours in Ecology entails a research project and related thesis which shall contribute at least one half of the total marks awarded. Essays, examinations and, where appropriate, course work may contribute to the remainder of the assessment. Where written examinations are involved there will be no re-examination. Honours students are expected to start their academic year at the beginning of First or Second Semester for a full-time student. The thesis must be submitted within a period of about nine months from the date of commencement. |
