Unit Description

This unit examines the management of insects, pests, weeds and diseases that affect cotton crops. The scientific basis for their management is discussed as well as practical, sustainable methods for their control. Identification, thresholds, integrated control mechanisms of all cotton pests are discussed. Students are required to complete a practical session totalling four days at the Australian Cotton Research Institute, Narrabri.
