Unit Description

Two lectures, a one-hour tutorial and a two-hour laboratory session per week. This unit covers the standard components of a compiler, and deals with issues such as grammars, lexical and syntactic analysis, code generation, symbol table management and error handling. Assessment will be by practical assignments and a formal exam. External students should see COMP 280 for computer requirements.
