| Unit Description |
Designed for students who have studied at least three years of Chinese, and those who come from China, Taiwan, Singapore or other Chinese-speaking backgrounds, this unit assists students to develop the skills required to read and respond to reports and analyses from the Chinese press, and thereby to enrich their understanding of modern China. Students will read and comment on selected articles grouped around topical issues such as population, environment, unemployment, and the impact of westernisation on Chinese culture. |
