Unit Description

Designed for students who have studied at least three years of Chinese, and those who come from China, Taiwan, Singapore or other Chinese-speaking backgrounds, this unit explores in Chinese the story of Chinese culture, covering topics ranging from aspects of Chinese everyday life to the social system, religion, philosophy, literature and arts. Through this unit, students will refine and develop their linguistic expression in Chinese. They will also acquire deeper understanding of and familiarity with the heritage of Chinese culture, together with its influence on contemporary life in China. On completion of this unit, students will be equipped to continue independent study of Chinese culture.
