Unit Description

This unit consists of 26 lectures and 39 practical hours or their equivalent. The unit examines the diversity in structure and reproduction of fungi and flowerless plants such as liverworts, mosses, ferns, cycads and conifers. It will also consider ecological, economic, evolutionary and palaeobotanical aspects. The assessment will include a theory examination, a plant collection, an essay, and practical tests.
