Unit Description

With the ever increasing importance of the Sheepmeat Industries to Australian producers, this unit will introduce students to the key concepts and principles behind efficient and profitable sheepmeat production. Aspects of sheepmeat production from breeding and management through to market selection, animal assessment and meat quality are detailed with the intent to provide students with the knowledge and know how to set up a sheepmeat production enterprise of their own or improve an existing enterprise. ANPR 520 is based on ANPR 420 with additional load consisting of an extra assignment requiring a greater level of understanding of the unit material.
