In 2006 the Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws program was replaced by the Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Laws.

Course Requirements 2005 Rules
Students must successfully complete 240 credit points (cp) comprising the
Bachelor of Commerce component : 96 cp; and
Bachelor of Laws component : 144 cp as follows
Bachelor of Commerce
Units to the value of 96 cp including:
(a) four compulsory units ?AFM 101; ECON 101;QM 161; and MM 200;
(b) two Commerce majors excluding Law units, on condition that if units are taken that are common to two majors, additional units drawn from the optional units of the majors must be taken in order to meet the 36 cp requirement of each major;
(c) units at 300 level to the value of at least 24 cp.
Bachelor of Laws
The following compulsory units:
LS 100, LS 160, LS 200, LS 210*, LS 220, LS 231, LS 232, LS 240, LS 281, LS 282, LS 320, LS 351, LS 355, LS 371, LS 372, LS 480 (96cp)
* LS 210 will be offered for the last time in semester 2 2009. Students who do not successfully complete LS 210 before it is withdrawn must undertake both new units (LS 111 and LS 211) and one fewer elective
Elective units in Law to the value of 48 cp selected from:

Course Requirements pre-2005 Rules
Under the pre-2005 course rules, students must successfully complete 240 credit points (cp) comprising the
Bachelor of Commerce component: 108 cp; and
Bachelor of Laws component: 132 cp; as follows
Bachelor of Commerce
Units to the value of 108 cp including:
(a) five compulsory units ?AFM 101; ECON 101 and 143;QM 161; and MM 200;
(b) two Commerce majors excluding Law units, on condition that if units are taken that are common to two majors, additional units drawn from the optional units of the majors must be taken in order to meet the 36 cp requirement for each major;
(c) other units, excluding Law units, to reach the total of 108 cp selected from the School of Business , Economics and Public Policy;
(d) the Bachelor of Commerce component must include units at 300 level to the value of at least 24 cp, of which at least 18 cp are from the School of Business , Economics and Public Policy.
Bachelor of Laws
Legal Studies units to the value of 132 cp and LS 280 (Moot Court)* including:
(a) All units in Group A units (90 cp);
(b) Units from Groups B, C and D below to the value of 42 cp which must include at least one unit from each of these Groups.
