Course Requirements
Currently enrolled students must complete this course by 31st December 2013.
The following summarises degree requirements as shown in the 2005 UNE Handbook and shows unit changes since the degree was withdrawn. This information is provided to assist continuing students in the course in choosing units for 2009.
Note there have been significant changes to unit codes and unit availability since the degree was withdrawn for 2006.
Course Requirements for the Bachelor of Agricultural Economics:
To qualify for the award, a candidate shall pass units to the value of 192 credit points (cps) as follows:
- all units from Group A (114cp);
- one major to the value of 48cp in Group B
- Other units to reach a total of 192cp which shall be selected from units offered by the Schools of Business, Economics and Public Policy or Law
- The units selected must include:
- at least 7 units ( 42cp) at 200 level;
- at least 5 units (30cp) at 300 level excluding ECON 339;
- at least 7 units (42 cp) at 400 level; and
- not more than 10 units 60cp at 100 level;
Group A Compulsory units (all units must be completed)
ECON 101, 102, 121; MATH 170 (no longer offered ) or MATH 101; QM 161, 162; RSNR 110 and 120 or LS 151 (no longer offered) and another 100 level unit approved by the course coordinator; ECON 201, 202, 224, 271, 328, 339, 414 or 417, 435, 496.
Group B Majors in the Bachelor of Agricultural Economics degree
Candidates must complete units in one of the Group B majors to the value of 48cp as follows:
