Master of Rural Science
Why study the Master of Rural Science at UNE?
The Master of Rural Science is an advanced research degree taken by thesis only. Candidates are normally required to complete a preliminary examination which may consist of coursework and/or a research project and/or a literature review. The preliminary examination is part of the normal period of candidature. Those candidates who have completed the Graduate Diploma in Rural Science at the required level or whose entry qualifications are deemed equivalent to the Bachelor of Rural Science with Honours will be exempt from the preliminary examination.

| Entry Requirements | The normal requirement for admission to the degree is a four-year degree from a recognised tertiary institution. Applicants with a three-year degree plus substantial research experience may also be considered. Applicants who do not meet these admission requirements will be required to complete either the Master of Rural Science Qualifying course or the Graduate Diploma in Rural Science. *External candidates must have access to appropriate research facilities and on-site supervision. |
