Why study the Master of Marine Science and Management at UNE?

* On campus study is completed at the National Marine Science Centre in Coffs Harbour NSW.

The award provides academic and professional training in some of the key topics in marine science and management. This includes updating the knowledge and skills of candidates who have previous training in this field. The qualification will be recognized in the market place as appropriate for managers dealing with marine and estuarine ecosystems.

It is possible to transfer to Master of Marine Science and Management candidature on completion of units to be value of 12 credit points towards the Graduate Diploma in Marine Science and Management. Advanced standing will be granted for these units.

Entry Requirements

The minimum requirement for admission to candiature is a three-year science degree.

Information for Continuing Master of Marine Science and Management Students for 2008

Course Requirements (pre 2008)
Candidates must complete units to the value of 48 cp including

1. MSM 501, 502, 504, 507, 508; and

2. 18 cp chosen from EM 432/532, 433/533, 534, MSM 303/503, 305/505, 306/506; RSNR 402/502 (previously EM 454/554 and ENVE421/521).

3. all units must be at 300 level or above.
