Why study the Master of Administrative Leadership at UNE?
The Master of Administrative Leadership course is designed primarily for public sector managers and aspiring managers. As people progress through their careers and increasingly take on leadership and management roles they often find that they need to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of leadership together with the management skills to lead and manage effectively.
The study core includes:
· Organisation and administration theory as a basis for understanding the functions of organisations and the behaviour of people who work in them
· Contemporary trends and issues which impinge upon the organisation and the community
· Planning the management of personnel and staff development
· Administration of institutional units with particular reference to resource allocation and leadership in organisational effectiveness
· The administrator as a catalyst for change, an initiator of policy development, a facilitator of professional development, a leader in industrial relations and an educator.
