Bachelor of Science with Honours

Why study the Bachelor of Science with Honours at UNE?

This program is designed to allow well-qualified graduates to extend their studies in areas offered by the Faculty of The Sciences, either to improve their career prospects or to proceed to higher degree studies. Completion of the degree to the standard Honours Class II Division or better is the normal mode of entry to the research degree of Master of Science. Completion to the standard of Honours Class Division I or better is the normal mode of entry to candidature for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Entry Requirements

The normal admission requirement for Bachelor of Science with Honours is completion of the Bachelor of Science which must include units at 300-level in a discipline which is relevant to the Honours program. Applicants with qualifications from other recognised institutions will also be considered.

Course Requirements

Candidates complete a unit with the numerical designation 400 in their area of interest and as approved by the relevant head of school. Topics included within this unit are determined following discussions with appropriate academic staff. They include, for example, CHEM400-24, ECOL400-24, etc
