Why study the Bachelor of Environmental Science with Honours at UNE?

This program is designed to allow well-qualified graduates to extend their studies in areas offered by the Faculty of The Sciences, either to improve their career prospects or to proceed to higher degree studies. Completion of the degree to the standard of Honours Class 11 Division or better is the normal mode of entry to the research degree of Master of Science. Completion to the standard of Honours Class Dviision 1 or better is the normal mode of entry to candidature for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Entry Requirements

The normal admission requirement for admission to the Bachelor of Science with Honours is completion of the Bachelor of Environmental Science which must include units at 300-level in a discipline which is relevant to the program of study for Honours. Applicants with qualifications from other recognised institutions will also be considered.

Information for Continuing Bachelor of Environmental Science with Honours Students for 2008

• Full-time students normally complete the course in one year while part-time students complete in two years. Part-time students who commenced candidature in 2007 must re-enrol for 2008. Full-time students who commenced study in semester two 2007 must re-enrol to complete requirements in 2008.

• Students who have queries regarding their candidature should contact their supervisor or the course coordinator

Course Requirements
Candidates complete the unit ECOL 400. Topics included within this unit are determined following discussions with appropriate academic staff.
