| Overview | The aim of the course is to provide a specialist professional qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). It is offered at either adult or school level. Clinical Placement or Practical Experience: Students will be required to complete fifty hours of ESL practice teaching and reach a satisfactory standard of proficiency as determined by a supervising teacher and/or staff member from the University. ESL practice teaching is arranged by UNE staff, if possible in your home area, but this cannot be guaranteed. |
| Entry Requirements | A candidate shall hold either a three-year teaching qualification or a degree and a one-year teaching qualification recognised by the Faculty as suitable for entry into the award; or hold the Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. |
