| Overview | The Graduate Diploma is Rural Science is designed to give graduates an opportunity to undertake specialised study in an area of agriculture. Pathway: Concurrent Enrolment with the Bachelor of Science: After completion of two years of study (96 credit points) towards the degree of Bachelor of Science, students may enrol concurrently for the Graduate Diploma in Rural Science. The Graduate Diploma will not be awarded until the Bachelor degree has been completed. Articulation Opportunities The Graduate Diploma in Rural Science can be used as an entry qualification for enrolment for the Master of Agriculture, the Master of Science in Agriculture or the Master of Rural Science. On completion of two units towards the Graduate Diploma, students can transfer to the Master of Agriculture. The two units competed will count towards the Master program. On completion of four units towards the Graduate Diploma, students can transfer to the Master of Science in Agriculture. The four units completed will count towards the Master program. On completion of the Graduation Diploma at the level of at least Pass with Distinction, students are able to apply for admission to candidature for the degree of Master of Rural Science. |

| Course Rules | Information for Continuing Graduate Diploma in Rural Science Students for 2008 Course Requirements (pre 2008) With the approval of the Course Coordinator, the prescribed course of study may include the unit RUSC 595 or HORT 595 (Project Report units). The project topic must be approved in advance by the Course Coordinator. The project may take the form of a design, management plan, literature review, or a field or laboratory investigation.
