Graduate Diploma in International Business

Why study the Graduate Diploma in International Business at UNE?

This award provides a coherent program of study in disciplinary areas relevant to modern international business. The units available cover a mix of discipline-based subjects in areas such as law, finance, marketing and management. It is designed for students whose formal qualifications are in disciplinary areas other than business and for students whose formal qualifications provide only limited background in disciplinary areas relevant to business. The award also satisfies requirements for admission to the Master of International Business Award.

Information for Continuing Graduate Diploma in International Business Students for 2008

• The Graduate School in Business will be responsible for the course from 2008. Students have been contacted regarding the change to administrative arrangements for the course. If you have any queries regarding the course you should contact the Graduate School of Business.

Course Requirements (pre 2008)
Candidates must complete units to the value of 48 cp comprising:

(a) at least 36 cp from units with an AFM, ECON or MM code with the first digit 1, 2 or 3 and can include at least 12 cp and not more than 24 cp from those available in the Master of International Business as follows:
AFM 335/435 International Financial Management
ECON 317/417 International Trade and Payments
ECON 320/420 Global Business and Trade
ECON 354/454 Asian Business Management
LS 293/493 International Business Law (no longer offered)
MM 302 International Business
MM 318/418 International Marketing
(b) elective units to the value of 12 cp from the School of Business, Economics and Public Policy

Not more than 24 cp can be completed at 100 level and at least 12 cp must be completed at 300 level or any combination of units at 300 and 400 level.
