The Graduate Diploma in Business Studies is designed to give graduates the opportunity to enhance or acquire skills in the general area of marketing and/or human resource management. Many economics graduates choose to initiate further study in areas such as marketing and management for professional development. The Graduate Diploma in Business Studies is designed to familiarise students with key business skills such as human resource management, general and strategic management and/or marketing.

Students applying to study the Graduate Diploma in Business Studies should be graduates of a recognised university or other institution approved by the Faculty; or hold an equivalent qualification; or provide other evidence of adequate preparation for candidature. The previous degree need not include a major in Business Studies or a related discipline.

Information for Continuing Graduate Diploma in Business Studies Students for 2008
Course Requirements Candidates must complete units to the value of 48 cp from MM units. Not more than 24 cp can be completed at 100 level, and at least 12 cp must be completed at 300 level or any combination of units at 300 and 400 level. Students may select units from: |

Summer Schools provide an opportunity for students to fast-track their academic progression or to catch up on units required to complete the degree. A selection of units is offered off-campus during the normal semester break from November to February, enabling students to study from home to accelerate their progress towards graduation. |
