Graduate Certificate in Rural Science
Why study the Graduate Certificate in Rural Science at UNE?
The Graduate Certificate in Rural Science is an intensive course and is designed to provide candidates with the opportunity to broaden or develop their professional knowledge and management skills in their chosen area of study. Four prescribed programs of study are available:
· Animal Genetics and Breeding
· Change Management in Agriculture
· Cotton Production
· Sustainable Grains Production
·
Students are also able to design a program of study in other areas such as Animal Production/Animal Products, Meat Science and Technology, Feedlot Management, and Wool Production which equip graduates with specialised skills relevant to the needs of the cattle and sheep industries. Programs are also available in Agronomy and Soil Science.
The Graduate Certificate is awarded at the level of Pass, Pass with Credit, Pass with Distinction or Pass with High Distinction depending on the level of academic achievement.

Information for Continuing Graduate Certificate in Rural Science Students for 2008
Course Requirements (pre 2008)
Candidates must complete units to the value of 24 cp of which at least 18 cp must be at 500-level. The remaining unit must be at 200 level or above. Alternatively, candidates may complete one of the Coursework Programs listed below:
